My Friends
Wow, what a book. Fredrik never disappoints, does he? This was his third book that I read after a Man called Ove and Anxious People, and boy was I not disappointed. It was a unique experience. The writing is what strikes me the most, the perfect blend of humour and sadness is the signature style of Fredrik that he has mastered, and it was perfectly shown here too. The witty style was gorgeous at times, there aren’t many characters here, and many characters aren’t introduced until 2/3rd of the plot has passed but wow, it is worth it. The book never overwhelms you with useless depositions or irrelevant characters, it just focuses on one group of friends and wow, the ending will get you everytime. It’s beautiful, you’ll definitely be shedding some tears while completing the last page but you won’t regret picking this book ever.
